Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the relationship between Arasaco ("the Company", "we") and users of Kmer Clock (the "Service"), the mobile application provided by the Company, and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of each party.

2. Nature of the Service

  1. The Service is a clock and weather app that shows a digital clock, alarms, timers, and local weather on a single screen.
  2. The Service is provided ad-free and can be used without registration or sign-in.
  3. The Service is not a medical device or a safety-critical tool, and does not guarantee precise time synchronization or time measurement for industrial or medical purposes.
  4. Alarm and timer features are configured and managed by the user directly on the device.

3. Permissions and Notifications

  1. To ensure background alarms fire at their scheduled time, the Service may use notification and exact-alarm permissions.
  2. When an alarm fires, an alarm sound or background music (BGM) may be played.
  3. To display local weather, approximate location information may be used if you grant permission. For details on how location data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
  4. You may change or revoke these permissions at any time in your operating system settings. If a permission is denied or removed, some features such as alarms, notifications, or weather may not work or may be limited.

4. User Responsibilities

  1. The user uses the Service at their own discretion and responsibility.
  2. The user is responsible for checking and managing their own device settings, including alarm settings, time zone, 24-hour format, and volume.
  3. The user is responsible for relying on means other than this Service as a backup for important schedules, wake-ups, or other situations that must not be missed.

5. Limitation of Liability

  1. The Service is provided "AS-IS" without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose or of uninterrupted, error-free operation.
  2. We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from an alarm failing to fire or being delayed due to operating system or device settings, such as device manufacturer behavior, Android version, power-saving or battery-optimization settings, blocked notifications, permission state, or silent / Do Not Disturb modes.
  3. We are not liable for service interruptions, delays, or errors caused by force majeure, system failures, Android policy changes, external weather API failures, or other causes beyond our reasonable control.
  4. Weather information is based on data from a third-party provider (Open-Meteo), and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

6. Intellectual Property

All content included in the Service — including design, logos, UI, code, alarm sounds, and background music — is owned by the Company or its respective rights holders. The user may use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Service Modifications

  1. We may modify or discontinue all or part of the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to announce material changes in advance.
  2. Features currently provided free of charge may change in future updates.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when needed. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes shall be resolved in the court of competent jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
